Fun on a fall day....

I was out and about for what may have been the final spin of the season yesterday....

It was a gorgeous fall day, and it was fantastic to spend it on the Fat Boy, cruising around to a few of the popular watering holes.

I'm keeping the fingers crossed that it won't be the last ride of the season, but if it was, well, it was stellar! Thanks so much Jacki and company!

Cheers.

M is for Mountains!

M is also for majestic, and mesmerizing, and medicinal....  I've been able to spend the past two days in my favorite place, doing my favorite thing, and I so needed it - I can't describe how much I needed it - more than I have in a very long time! I shouldn't be by now, but I'm always surprised at how plodding up a trail, taking deep breaths of fresh mountain air, feeling my heartbeat kick it up a notch while my eyes drink up the amazing scenery, totally revives me. It clears my head and soothes my soul. *SIGH*

I'm savoring every second of my time out in Canmore this weekend, as work will be shifting into outage mode right quick... so I'll basically be living at the plant for rest of the month... UGH... But the light at the end of the tunnel is an upcoming visit from my Sista! Yeah! She'll be heading to Medicine Hat to chill with the parents on the 22nd, and I'll get to see her on the 29th. I can't wait!

Cheers!

Time does NOT stand still....

Friends are good for the soul. Outside time is good for the soul. And when you combine the two, that makes for some pretty great therapy!

Toni came out to Canmore for the long weekend, and it was therapy galore! We did a couple of short hikes, and we traipsed around town as well, doing a bit of shopping and spending part of Sunday at the Highland Games.

Love you my friend!

Definitely not mountain sheep!

We also had the good fortune to be in the company of these fine peeps, who were celebrating the spirit of their cherished son/brother/grandson on his birthday.

For Jamie.
Gone but never forgotten.

These last few weeks have been a whirlwind and I can't believe we are into September already. Life seems to be speeding by, faster all the time! I don't know where time goes exactly, but I do know that I'm one lucky chick and I'm grateful every day, for all that I have.

Life is short, so live it like you mean it!

Cheers!
