Gotta love those Canadian winters...!!

Well, the last couple of days in Nassau were spent RELAXING. We did a bit more sailing, checked out the incredibly beautiful Cabbage Beach, and toured the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island. Now, we're back in Canada, returned home yesterday, and whoa baby! what a shock this weather is! Already it seems like the trip never happened! Time goes by so fast, when you're having fun! It was definitely good to get away, and I can't wait to start planning for the next holiday!

Cheers.

"S" is for sailing, scuba diving, sea urchins, skiing (water!), sunshine...

Holy moly, today was beautiful! It was sunny, hot, and relatively calm most of the day, so Todd, Brad and I went scuba diving! Todd and Brad got three dives in; I took an intro course and did one shallow (20-25 foot) reef dive. It was amazing! I can't believe all the beautiful creatures that live under water. Today is 'superbowl', for those of you who care about football, so we're doing our part and having a few drinks to celebrate the game... yes, the Bahamians love NFL football... it's quite a big deal here... Yesterday, Todd and I sailed a 14ft Hobie Cat for a few hours - what a hoot! And earlier in the week we waterskiied, and we even went to the zoo! Other than that, we're just happy to NOT be in the snowy cold weather!! Anyway, perhaps we'll be kiting tomorrow, the forecast looks fairly windy... I'll keep ya posted...

Cheers.

"F" is for FLAT TIRE, among other things...

We finally got in some kitesurfing time!! The winds were moderately good yesterday, and Todd took full advantage of it... he got the 14 meter up and flying, had a great day, even landed a few jumps!! I took pix, which I will post once we get to a better internet connection. The real adventure begun however, on our way home from South Beach. Driving on the wrong side of the road is a challenge to begin with, and when one of these crazy drivers in the oncoming lane pulled out to pass, on a nasty curve, it didn't leave us much choice but to head for the ditch... we came out of it relatively unscathed, in the end... a little "F"rightened and with one "F"lat tire... oh yeah, and a there were several "F" words muttered amongst it all!!! All in all, we made it back to the resort in one piece and got the tire repaired today. What "F"un!!
Maybe some more kiting tomorrow, the forecast is looking promising.
Cheers.
