The Black Cat Diaries

So let's suffice it to say that I'm more of a 'dog person' than a 'cat person'.... my Sister can attest to that, right Heathe!? Cats are aloof and exude that "I am the centre of the universe" kind of aura. They constantly regard you as if they are thinking "Human, you serve no purpose, but I am in the room now! Pay attention!" Egad. And I probably don't have to tell you that I wouldn't select a cat as a pet by choice. But, things in life don't always go.... as planned.... Hence, I am sort of co-habitating with a small black feline.

Introducing Miss Kitty

One of Chris's daughters got a kitten a few months back, and changing circumstances in her world recently meant that the cat ended up in need of a place to rule.... ahem, I mean live. And that's how he ended up with Miss Kitty.

Ummm.... Comfy??

Not exactly a cuddler, but she likes to be where the people are.

Common napping spot.... Huh??

She definitely has a personality, and while she isn't super affectionate, she sure does not like to be alone. No matter where you are in the house, the tiny ninja seems to be lurking somewhere close by.

I will admit, that short of her razor-like claws (which shred something of value on a daily basis! d'oh!) and her needle-sharp teeth (which have punctured more than one hand!), this silky, quirky, golden-eyed critter is rapidly becoming a fixture around the house that would probably be missed.

Chillin' with the villain.

Yes that is TIN FOIL covering the kitchen
chair seats! Miss Kitty sunk her claws
DEEP into one of them... ouch....

Anyway. For now, Chris has a cat, so he's trying to make the best of it. I keep telling him at least he isn't in any danger of mice!? Woot!
