"G" is for Good Times!!

OK. So we rented a car. Am I scared?? Brad drives, Todd usually navigates, and I cower in the back seat as we bounce along on the wrong side of the road! The traffic here is atrocious, but it has been a blast to have a vehicle... we've spent a couple of days exploring the island, plus we've gone kayaking and snorkeling, and even rock climbing!! Heh heh - there is a climbing wall at the resort; the guy who runs it brags that it is the ONLY climbing on New Providence!! Oh, and did I mention there is ping-pong?? Oh yeah baby, when the rum is free flowing and the sun has gone down... break out the paddles!!
Unfortunately, the wind has not been cooperating and there has been no kitesurfing thus far. However, we've seen the forecast back home, so we are not complaining, we are simply happy to be here!
Cheers.

"M" is for marguerita...

We made it to Nassau!!! It's soooooo nice and warm, very humid... we checked out the resort entertainment last night, and as a result we're off to a bit of a late start today! Now we're heading to pick up a rental car, then go tour around the island... that is, if I can rip Brad and Todd away from the bar...
Internet connections are scarce, not to mention expensive, so I may not post for a few days. But I must say, overall it is great here so far, and I think we're going to have a blast!!
Cheers

One last look at the chilly-ness...

Here are some pics from the snow-covered Upper Spray Lake.... to remind myself of the winter weather I am escaping on Friday!

Actually, I like the snow. And, wind is my new best friend! Makes for some fun snowkiting! However, a few weeks of PLUS 20 degrees instead of MINUS 20 degrees, will be a nice change.

Cheers.

Just a couple more sleeps...

Well, we're leaving Friday morning, for Nassau, Bahamas... it will be an entirely new experience for me... I've not been to a hot, beachy, vacation spot before, nor to an all-inclusive resort! I'm sure it will be great - seriously, how bad could warm, turquoise waters and white sand be?? Plus, we are taking our kites, and so far the wind forecast looks amazing! Of course my camera is coming with me, so stay tuned for more posts and pix.
Cheers.
